Ghost Signs of Vancouver

I stole away with a friend to Canada for the weekend just to get away from school and its various projects. We stayed at the Cambie Hostel, just on the fringe of Gastown -- in the nicely seedy part. Since we were all over downtown and adjacent old portions of the city -- and since I had my camera, of course -- I couldn't help but snap some preliminary shots of painted walls.

This series of images represents random painted walls that were encountered in the course of aimless wandering about town. A more systematic survey would likely yield a large and lovely harvest of ghost signs.
