Grading
From UANotebook
We are looking for innovative and high-quality ideas and research originating from undergraduate students, not a specific quantity or outcome. This said, we will give you specific guidelines and examples of work from the past which will be definitely helpful in 'quantifying' the amount of work you should put into this given the number of credits you are taking.
Students should demonstrate that they are engaged, responsive, original and self-directed. You should able to learn from the literature (the readings) and from there also create new research questions. Since you are getting research experience, in grading you, we will evaluate your work based on our experience working with you as a research partner. We will consider how well you collaborated on the project, your ability to communicate, stay accountable, take initiative to learn, produce expected material on time, produce adequate amount and quality work that needs little to no correction.
